Providence, R.I. (October 12th, 2019) – The Mount St. Mary's women's rugby team was overpowered by Brown 49-7. The Bears used a strong first half to gain a 22-0 lead at halftime. Freshman Mahdia Parker led the way for the Bears with two tries on the day. The loss moves the Mountaineers to 4-3 overall, 2-3 in NIRA Tier II action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Brown jumped out to a 22-0 lead by halftime. Mahdia Parker had two tries while Lexi Nelson added another for the Bears.
- Senior Abby O'Keefe recorded the first try of the second half to give the Bears a 29-0 lead.
- Zy Thomas and Lilly Snell added the last two scores for Brown to finish off the victory.
- Jalana Garcia had the only score for the Mountaineers while Maya Grassi converted on her only conversion kick of the day.
