Mount St. Mary's Men's Golf Wraps Up Final Round of Turning Stone-Tiger Intercollegiate

TEAM STANDINGS

Verona, N.Y. (September 3, 2018) – The Mount St. Mary's men's golf team wrapped up competition from the Turning Stone-Tiger Intercollegiate on Monday in 17th place. The Mount shot 81-over (945: 312-319-314) as a team during the three-round tournament.

Host-team Missouri claimed its seventh consecutive Turning Stone-Tiger Intercollegiate crown with a 16-under (848: 278-282-288).

Jack Snyder registered the Mount's best individual finish of the tournament, placing in a tie for 67th at +16 overall. Snyder fired his best round on the opening day with a 73 to start things off, and followed with a 78 and 81.

Nacho Gomez, who shot a pair of 77s on Sunday, followed with a round of 81 on Monday to finish at 19-over for the tournament.

Pablo Alonso saved his best round of the tournament for the final day, closing it out by firing a 74 on Monday, and finishing at +22 overall.

Matt Kinsey (+29) registered scores of 80, 82 and 83 in his three rounds, and Nick McCann (+33) posted scores of 88, 83 and 78.

The Mountaineers next head to the Hartford Hawks Invitational in South Kent, Connecticut on September 17-18.
