McGraw Earns Pair of Top-Three Finishes to Highlight Day Two of Franklin & Marshall Invitational

DAY 2 RESULTS

Lancaster, Pa. (November 17, 2018) – Senior Maddie McGraw won the 100 back and posted a third-place finish in the 50 free to highlight day two of the Franklin & Marshall Invitational for the Mount St. Mary's women's swimming & diving team.

The Mountaineers remain in third place with 550 team points heading into the final day of the invite on Sunday. Washington and Lee University (1061 pts) and University of Mary Washington (787 pts) occupy the top-two spots in the standings.

McGraw claimed the top spot in the 100 back with a time of 57.18, and swam to a third-place showing in the 50 free in 24.59.

The Mountaineers also had two other swimmers score in the 100 back. Mary Lombardi placed ninth with a time of 1:00.14, and Eliza Felos clocked in at 1:02.26 to take 20th place.

Maggie deTar and Elizabeth Fahrney earned the Mount's other top finishes in individual events outside of McGraw. deTar placed fifth in the 200 free (1:57.79), and Fahrney also raced to a fifth-place finish in the 200 breast (2:27.26).

In the 100 fly, Juliet Whitman registered the Mount's top finish, touching the wall in 1:00.18 to take 12th place.

Jordan Friedman, deTar, Lombardi and Lauren Gullickson closed out the day with a fourth-place finish in the 800 free relay, clocking in at 8:00.15

The Mountaineers close out the final day of the F&M Invite tomorrow (Nov. 18), with prelims beginning at 10 a.m., followed by finals heats at 5 p.m.
