SETTING THE SCENE
Sophomores Jackson Wood and Parth Sharma took home first place in doubles action in the Bucknell Invitational to start off the year. The Mountaineer duo downed Bucknell's Garramone and Jacobs 6-2 in the quarterfinals and Colgate's Bickel and Gupta 6-3 in the semifinals, before they topped fellow Mount St. Mary's pairing Jean Armstrong and Alonso Garcia 6-2 in the Finals.

The second invitational that the Mount competed in, the Loyola Invitational, Wood and Sharma collected their second straight first place finish to open up the fall season. In the Finals, Wood and Sharma blanked Loyola's Skyler Gates and Matt Fitzmaurice 3-0. The Mount St. Mary's pair took down the Greyhounds pair 6-3 in the doubles match, Wood topped Gates 6-3, 6-1, and Sharma edged Fitzmaurice 7-6, 3-6, 10-6. 

In this past weekend's Temple Invite, Wood added a singles flight victory over Bucknell's Ethan Jacobs (6-3, 7-5), and Wood and Sharma collected a doubles flight win over Bucknell's Ryan Jurist and Jacobs (6-4).
