Orlando, Fla. (March 9, 2017) - Mount St. Mary's men's tennis team topped Norfolk State 4-3 on Thursday morning.

Norfolk State won the first three flights of singles action but Mount would pick up the next three flights. Mateo DeSomocurcio tied up the first flight at a set a piece but Andres Alcaraz won the last set claiming the first victory for Spartans. Brandon Wortkotter put the Mountaineers on the board with a victory in the fourth flight while Zachary Burau and Jean Armstrong picked up the default victories to close out singles competition. 

Norfolk State won the first flight in doubles but would surrender the second flight to Tonon and Wortkotter 7-5 while Burau and Armstrong picked up the default victory in the third flight giving Mount control of the match.
