Mount Women's Swimming Falls at Duquesne

FINAL RESULTS

Pittsburgh (January 16, 2016) – Mount St. Mary's University women's swimming returned to action Saturday afternoon for a dual meet at Duquesne in the Mount's first competition of the spring semester. Amanda Moore highlighted the meet for Mount St. Mary's with a first-place showing in the 100 fly, but the Mountaineers fell to Duquesne by a 158-95 margin.

Moore clocked in at 1:05.63 in the 100 fly to take the top spot, while Haley Fournier finished second with a time of 1:05.63. The Mount also finished 1-2 in the 400 IM, as Sarah Bonson earned a first-place finish in 4:52.69, and Mary Lombardi touched the wall in 4:53.81 to take second place.

Lombardi also claimed a second-place finish in the 1000 free with a time of 10:55.60, and Juliette Lacoste posted the final top-2 finish of the meet for the Mount, placing second in the 500 free in 10:55.60.

Moore, Maddie McGraw, Morgan Runk and Je Moon Won closed out the night with a first-place showing in the 200 free relay in a time of 1:44.14.

The Mount returns to action on Saturday, February 6 for a meet with UNC Wilmington and Campbell in North Carolina.
