FINAL RESULTS
Cambridge, Mass. (February 28, 2015) – For the second day in a row, senior Erin Regan (Ft. Washington, Pa.) earned a silver medal, picking up a second-place finish in the 200 fly as the Mount St. Mary's women's swimming team wrapped up the Northeast Conference Championships on Saturday in fifth place with 276 points.
After taking second in the 100 fly on Friday, Regan clocked in a 2:01.72 to take second place in Saturday's 200 fly. Regan finished .27 seconds off her own school record of 2:01.45 set at last season's NEC Championships.
Junior Haley Fournier (Ave Maria, Fla.) also took home a medal on the day, claiming the bronze in the 1650 free in 17:13.57. Also competing in the 1650 free, freshman Bridget Vaughan (Olney, Md.) placed 10th, completing the race in 17:37.69.
In the 400 free relay, the Mount's team of Amanda Moore (Katy, Texas), Fournier, Lenna Castro Marquez (Silver Spring, Md.) and Regan took sixth with a time of 3:32.57.
Sophomore Morgan Runk (Toms River, N.J) placed seventh in the B Finals of the 200 back (2:09.96). Competing in the B Finals of the 200 breast, freshman Juliette Lacoste (Barnstable, Mass.) claimed sixth in 2:31.96, followed by fellow freshman JeMoon Won (Springfield, Va.) in eighth with a time of 2:38.78.
Central Connecticut won the team championship with 837 points with Wagner close behind in second with 813 points. Bryant and Saint Francis U locked up third and fourth place with 587 and 436 points, respectively. The Mount (276 points) finished ahead of Sacred Heart (234) and St. Francis Brooklyn (161).
