DAY 2 RESULTS
Lancaster, Pa. (November 21, 2015) – The Mount St. Mary's University women's swimming team wrapped up the second day of competition at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational in third place with 702.5 team points. Delaware remains in first place with 1148 points, while Washington & Lee owns the second spot with 862 points.
Amanda Moore highlighted the night for Mount St. Mary's by earning a pair of top-3 finishes and breaking the program record in the 50-yard freestyle. The junior clocked in at 23.77 in the 50 free to eclipse the school's old record by .01 seconds, which was set by Courtney Griffith in 2013.
Moore also swam to a first-place finish in the 100 butterfly with a time of 56.90.
Mount St. Mary's finished 2-3 in the 400 IM, led by junior Sarah Bonson, who clocked in at 4:37.86 to take runner-up. Bonson just missed out on the school record in the event (4:37.47), which was set by teammate Haley Fournier last season. Sophomore Juliette Lacoste claimed a third-place finish in the event with a time of 4:44.16.
Maddie McGraw, Lauren Gullickson, Moore and Morgan Runk combined to swim the 200 medley relay in 1:49.52 to take fourth place to close out the night.
The invitational wraps up with the final day of competition on Sunday, November 22. Preliminary heats begin at 9 a.m. and finals start at 5 p.m.
