Mount Women's Swimming Sits in Second Place Following Day One of Franklin & Marshall Invitational

DAY 1 RESULTS

Lancaster, Pa. (November 20, 2015) – The Mount St. Mary's University women's swimming team sits in second place after the opening day of competition at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational. Haley Fournier posted the Mount's top finish of the night with a second-place showing in the 1650 freestyle.

Delaware currently sits in first place with 314 team points, while Mount St. Mary's (241 pts.), Washington & Lee (236), Franklin & Marshall (186) and Saint Vincent (162) round out the top-5 in the standings.

Fournier clocked in at 17:16.67 to earn second place in the 1650 yard freestyle. Mary Lombardi (17:46.02), Bridget Vaughan (17:50.62) and Sarah Bonson (18:01.93) also registered top-10 finishes for the Mount in the event.

Maddie McGraw, Lauren Gullickson, Amanda Moore and Lombardi notched the team's top finish in the 400 medley relay, earning fourth place in a time of 3:58.50.

McGraw, JeMoon Won, Morgan Runk and Lenna Castro Marquez combined to swim the 200 free relay in 1:40.54 to earn the ninth spot.

The invitational resumes with the second day of competition on Saturday (Nov. 21). Preliminary heats begin at 9 a.m., with finals at 6 p.m.
