COMPLETE RESULTS
Emmitsburg, Md. (October 9, 2015)--The Mount St. Mary's women's swimming team opened the 2015-16 season with a 130-66 win over St. Francis Brooklyn on Friday night at the Mount St. Mary's Pool. Junior Amanda Moore paced the Mount, breaking the school record in the 100-meter butterfly.
Moore won the 100m butterfly in a time of 1:05.27 to break the school and facility record of 1:05.32 set by Erin Ragan on Nov. 2, 2013. Moore also threatened the school mark in the 50-meter freestyle, taking first place with a time of 27.26, just 0.14 seconds off the record.
The Mountaineers opened the meet by winning the 200-meter medley relay as Maddie McGraw, Lauren Gullickson, Juliette Lacoste and Morgan Runk had a winning time of 2:08.51. Haley Fournier took home first place in the 800-meter freestyle while Mary Lombardi won the 200-meter freestyle.
Sara Bonson had a strong showing in the 200-meter IM, with a first-place time of 2:31.40. Lenna Castro Marquez was the winner in the 100-meter freestyle with Runk taking home first in the 100-meter backstroke.
The Mount closed out the meet by taking the 200-meter freestyle relay with Runk, Moore, JeMoon Won and Lacoste posting a winning time of 1:54.03.
The Mount returns to action on Saturday, October 24, with a 1:00 p.m. home meet against Saint Francis U.
