Mount Women's Swimming Tabbed Fifth in NEC Preseason Coaches Poll

Somerset, N.J. (October 3, 2014) – The Mount St. Mary's women's swimming team was selected to finish fifth in the annual Northeast Conference Preseason Coaches Poll, which the conference office released today.

The Mountaineers have secured fifth place at the NEC Championships in each of the last three seasons.

Defending champion Wagner received five first-place votes to earn the top spot in the poll with Central Connecticut State checking in second with two top votes. Bryant, Saint Francis U and the Mount rounded out the top five, while Sacred Heart and St. Francis Brooklyn were picked sixth and seventh, respectively.

The Mount opens the season today at the Potomac Relays at American University in Washington, D.C.
