Mount Men's Golf Sees First Day Cut Short at C&F Bank Invitational

Williamsburg, Va. (March 24, 2013)-- The Mount St. Mary's men's golf team completed six holes in the opening round of the C&F Bank Invitational before play was halted due to inclement weather on Sunday. Of 32 teams in the field, 16 completed round one, while the rest will finish tomorrow. 

Through six holes, freshman Mike Shine is leading the Mount by shooting one over par with one bogey and five pars. Fellow freshman Eric Flockhart is one stroke behind Shine at +2 on four pars and two bogeys through six. 

Zach O'Grady is sitting in third among Mount players at four strokes over par, while Andrew Lawton and Michael Pansini both turned in scores of +5 through six holes. 

Of competitors who completed their rounds on Sunday, Eastern Michigan's Casey Olsen and Notre Dame's Cory Sciupider tied for first with identical scores of 67 (-3). 

Play will pick up tomorrow at 7:45 a.m.
