Mount Women's Golf Wraps Up Day Two at C&F Bank Invitational in 26th Place

Williamsburg, Va. (March 18, 2013)-- Mount St. Mary's completed the second day of the C&F Bank Invitational on Monday, finishing in 26th place at the conclusion of the 36-hole tournament. 

The Mount was one of 16 teams to complete the round on Monday, while 12 squads started action but wrapped up play on Tuesday. The Mountaineers finished with a team total score of 697 strokes. 

Kelsey Hayward posted the Mount's best score of the day with an 80 (+9) to drop 13 stokes off her opening round 93. The round of 80 is her top round of the season. 

Amanda Reach followed up her first-round 82 (+11) with an identical 82 on Monday for a team-best two-day total of 164. Reach tied for 74th in the individual competition. 

With a score of 91(+20) in the second round, Sara Fuss brought her tournament total to 177. 

Abbey Fry also repeated her round of 95 (+24) for the fourth-best scorecard of the day for the Mount. 

Boston College's Vinh-Hoa Ngo won the individual event with a score of 145 (+3) in 36 holes to lead the Eagles to a first-place finish with a team total of 598 strokes. 

Next up, the Mount will travel to Annapolis, Md. for the Navy Spring Invitational on March 23.
