Mount Women's Golf Finishes 10th at NEC Championships

Daytona Beach, Fla. (April 29, 2012)--The Mount St. Mary's women's golf team finished in 10th place at the Northeast Conference Championships held at the LPGA International.

Christina Hall was the Mount's top finisher, posting a score of 254 in the event.  Hall shot an 86 on the final day.  Nicole Fazio (T39th, 260), Kelsey Hayward  (41st, 264) and Sarah Roe (42nd, 267) were the Mount's top four finishers.

LIU Brookly rallied from a nine-stroke deficit to win the championship with a three-day score of 919.  The Blackbirds shot a 298 in the final day.  Fairleigh Dickinson (924), Monmouth (941), Sacred Heart (955), Robert Morris (962), Saint Francis (Pa.) (968), Central Connecticut State (971), Wagner (980), Quinnipiac (1039), Mount St. Mary's (1045) and St. Francis (N.Y.) (1191) rounded out the field.

LIU's Cristina Felip shot a one-under par 215 to win the individual crown, besting a pair of FDU golfers by 11 strokes.
