Women's Golf Sits In 10th Place After The Second Round Of The NEC Championships

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Christina Hall (Wall, N.J./Wall) finished 31st to lead the Mount St. Mary's women's golf team to an 10th-place standing after the second round of the Northeast Conference (NEC) Championships on Saturday.

Hall carded a pair of rounds of 84 to finish with a two-round score of 168 in 31st place, 21 strokes behind the current leader. The two-round score of 168 is the sixth-best two-round total at the NEC Championships in program history.

Nicole Fazio (Lower Gwynedd, Pa./Gwynedd Mercy Academy) (38th place, 175), Sarah Roe (Floral Park, N.Y./Floral Park Memorial) (42nd place, 178), Kelsey Hayward (Seekonk, Mass./St. Mary's Academy) (45th place, 182) and Rebecca Lynch (Ledyard, Conn./Ledyard) (51st place, 200) rounded out the Mount's five team competitors.

Fairleigh Dickinson leads the event with a two-round score of 612, nine strokes ahead of LIU Brooklyn (621) while Sacred Heart (627), Monmouth (631), Central Connecticut State (643), Saint Francis (Pa.) (648), Robert Morris (653), Wagner (656), Quinnipiac (692), the Mount (703) and St. Francis (N.Y.) (786) round out the 11-team field. The Mountaineers have registered a 349 and a 354 in the two rounds for its score of 703. The first-round total of 349 is the ninth-best score by the team at the NEC Championships while the two-round mark of 703 is the fifth best in team history.

Mount St. Mary's returns to action in the final round of the NEC Championships on Sunday. The Mount will play with Central Connecticut State and Monmouth in the final round. Players will tee off between 8:50 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. on the 10th hole.
