GRASONVILLE, Md. – Devin O'Grady (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) finished 36th to lead the Mount St. Mary's men's golf team to a 15th-place standing after the first round of the Towson Fireline Invitational on Friday.
O'Grady fired a three-over round of 75 after posting two birdies, two bogeys and a double bogey to end the first day in 36th place, four strokes behind the current leader.
Ryan Triller (Pylesville, Md./North Harford) (47th place, 76), Danny Michalek (Mount Airy, Md./Mount St. Joseph) (64th place, 77), Kevin Ellison (Harrisburg, Pa./Bishop McDevitt) (64th place, 77) and Tonny Aizpun (Barcelona, Spain/Lycee Francais De Barcelone) (100th place, 81) rounded out the Mount's competitors.
Northern Colorado leads the three-day event with a score of 288, two strokes ahead of Central Connecticut State (290) while Navy (294), Seton Hall (294) and Penn State (294) round out the Top-5 teams in the field. The Mount sits in 15th place after carding a 305 in the first round.
Mount St. Mary's returns to action at the Towson Fireline Invitational on Saturday.
