Kim Leads Women's Golf At Gary Freeman B-CU Invitational

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Jen Kim (Blue Bell, Pa./Methacton) finished 19th to lead the Mount St. Mary's women's golf team to a seventh-place standing after the first round of the Gary Freeman B-CU Invitational on Tuesday. The event is the Mount's first event in the spring.

Kim posted a round of 86 to finish in 19th place after the first round, 12 strokes behind the current leader.

Sarah Roe (Floral Park, N.Y./Floral Park Memorial) (27th place, 90), Kelsey Hayward (Seekonk, Mass./St. Mary's Academy) (27th place, 90), Christina Hall (Wall, N.J./Wall) (35th place, 95) and Nicole Fazio (Lower Gwynedd, Pa./Gwynedd Mercy Academy) (39th place, 102) rounded out the Mount's five competitors.

Bethune-Cookman leads its own event with a score of 318, 12 strokes ahead of South Carolina State (330) while Hampton (331), Florida Atlantic (336) and Central Connecticut State (336) rounded out the Top-5 teams. The Mount shot a 361 in the first round to finish in seventh place.

Mount St. Mary's returns to the green in the final round of Gary Freeman B-CU Invitational on Wednesday.
