Doglioli Paces Women's Golf After First Round At Rutgers Fall Invitational

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Marisol Doglioli (Aosta, Italy/Clearwater Central Catholic [Fla.]) finished 33rd to lead the Mount St. Mary's women's golf team to a 17th-place standing after the first round of the Rutgers Fall Invitational on Friday.

Doglioli posted a 39 on the front nine and a 40 on the final nine holes to notch her fifth round in the 70s this season with a 79, seven strokes behind the current leader.

Amanda Reach (Moscow, Pa./North Pocono) (65th place, 83), Kelsey Hayward (Seekonk, Mass./St. Mary's Academy) (89th place, 87), Nicole Fazio (Lower Gwynedd, Pa./Gwynedd Mercy Academy) 103rd place, 90) and Sara Fuss (Newtown Square, Pa./Academy of Notre Dame) (111th place, 94) also competed for the Mount.

Seton Hall leads the event with a score of 299, five strokes ahead of Rutgers (304) while St. John's (312), Monmouth (313) and Fairleigh Dickinson (314) round the top five teams. The Mountaineers shot a 339 on the day to finish in 17th place. 

Mount St. Mary's returns to action in the final round of the Rutgers Invitational on Saturday.
