PRINCETON, N.J. – Sarah Roe (Floral Park, N.Y./Floral Park Memorial) finished 52nd to lead the Mount St. Mary's women's golf team to a 12th-place standing at the Princeton Invitational on Sunday. Teams played two rounds on Saturday and a final round on Sunday.
Roe posted registered an 81, 86 and 89 in the three round to card a 256 in the competition to finish in 52nd place, 43 strokes behind the medalist.
Kelsey Hayward (Seekonk, Mass./St. Mary's Academy) (54th place, 259), Jen Kim (Blue Bell, Pa./Methacton) (56th place, 261), Nicole Fazio (Lower Gwynedd, Pa./Gwynedd Mercy Academy) (59th place, 268) and Abbey Fry (Lebanon, Pa./Cedar Crest) (62nd place, 292) rounded out the Mount's five competitors.
Harvard won the two-day three-round event with a score of 906, four strokes ahead of Brown (910) while Columbia (915), Rollins (916) and Pennsylvania (925) rounded out the Top-5 teams in the field. The Mountaineers posted rounds of 347, 342 and 355 in the three rounds to register a score of 1044 and finished in 12th place.
Mount St. Mary's returns to action at the ECAC Championships on Oct. 1.
