CAMBRIDGE, Md. – Ryan Triller (Street, Md./North Harford) ranks 34th after two rounds to lead the Mount St. Mary's men's golf team to an 11th-place standing at the Maryland Intercollegiate on Monday. Teams played 36-continous holes on the day.
Triller posted a 74 in the first round and then a career-best 71 in the second round to card a 145 on the afternoon to rank in 34th place, 14 strokes behind the current leader.
Kevin Ellison (Harrisburg, Pa./Bishop McDevitt) (49th place, 148), Tonny Aizpun (Barcelona, Spain/Lycee Francais De Barcelone) (56th place, 151), Danny Michalek (Mount Airy, Md./Mount St. Joseph) (60th place, 153) and Devin O'Grady (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) (60th place, 153) rounded out the Mount's five competitors.
Winthrop leads the two-day three-round event with a score of 544, 14 strokes ahead of Pennsylvania (558) while Old Dominion (562), Georgetown (563) and Loyola (567) rounded out the Top-5 teams in the field. The Mountaineers sit in 11th place after registering 303 in the first round and 291 in the second round for a total of 594.
Mount St. Mary's returns to action in the final round of the Maryland Intercollegiate on Tuesday.
