Fairfax, Va. (March 25, 2011)--The Mount St. Mary's men's tennis team lost at George Mason, 5-2, on Friday afternoon.

Mike Salomon won at No. 1 singles while Taylor Place won at No. 3 singles, but it was not enough to lift the Mount to victory. Salomon defeated Kevin McMillen easily, 6-0, 6-1, at the No. 1 spot while Place outslugged Jordan Borsanyi, 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 at the No. 3 spot. Mike Zabetakis fell in three sets, 6-1, 3-6, 6-4 to Taylor Sargent at the No. 2 position.

The Mount returns to action on Sunday, March 27, with a 1:00 p.m. home match against Maryland-Eastern Shore.
