WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Sarah Roe (Floral Park, N.Y./Floral Park
Memorial) finished 49th after the first round of the C&F Bank
Women's Intercollegiate to lead the Mount St. Mary's women's golf
team to a 17th-place standing on Saturday.
Roe posted a 41 on each side of the golf course to finish 49th
and card an 82 in the first round, 16 strokes behind the current
leader.
Megan Corbett (Danbury, Conn./Danbury) (63rd place, 84),
Christina Hall (Wall, N.J./Wall) (80th place, 87), Autumn Serruta
(Avon, Conn./Avon) (94th place, 90) and Nicole Fazio (Lower
Gwynedd, Pa./Gwynedd Mercy Academy) (97th place, 91) round out the
Mount's five competitors.
Yale leads the two-day event with a score of 296, 12 strokes
ahead of St. John's (308) while Elon (315), Penn (315) and Old
Dominion (317) round out the Top-5 teams in the field. The
Mountaineers sit in 17th place after posting a 343 in the first
round.
Mount St. Mary's returns to action on Sunday in the final round
of the C&F Bank Women's Intercollegiate.
