Women's Golf Places Seventh After Second Round Of El Diablo Intercollegiate

CITRUS SPRING, Fla. - Megan Corbett (Danbury, Conn./Danbury) finished 29th to lead the Mount St. Mary's women's golf team to a seventh-place standing after the second round of the El Diablo Intercollegiate on Friday.

Corbett registered an 80 in the first round and an 87 in the second round to card a 167 in the first two rounds to place 29th, 21 strokes behind the current leader

Autumn Serruta (Avon, Conn./Avon) (36th place, 171), Sarah Roe (Floral Park, N.Y./Floral Park Memorial) (36th place, 171), Christina Hall (Wall, N.J./Wall) (38th place, 174) and Nicole Fazio (Lower Gywnedd, Pa./Gwynedd Mercy Academy) (43rd place, 187) rounded out the Mount's five competitors.

Eastern Kentucky leads it own three-day event with a score of 621, eight strokes ahead of Florida Atlantic (629) while St. John's (637), Western Kentucky (640) and Austin Peay (644) round out the Top-5 teams. The Mount posted a 336 in the first round and a 347 in the second round to post a 683 in the two rounds to sit in seventh place going into the final round.

Mount St. Mary's returns to action for the final round at the El Diablo Intercollegiate on Saturday.
