CITRUS SPRING, Fla. -Megan Corbett (Danbury, Conn./Danbury)
finished 15th to lead the Mount St. Mary's women's golf team to a
seventh-place standing after the first round of the El Diablo
Intercollegiate on Thursday.
Corbett posted a 37 on the front nine and a 43 in the final nine
holes to finish in 15th place with a first-round score of 80, seven
strokes behind the current leader.
Sarah Roe (Floral Park, N.Y./Floral Park Memorial) (24th place,
83), Christina Hall (Wall, N.J./Wall) (35th place, 86), Autumn
Serruta (Avon, Conn./Avon) (37th place, 87) and Nicole Fazio (Lower
Gywnedd, Pa./Gwynedd Mercy Academy) (41st place, 89) rounded out
the Mount's five competitors.
Eastern Kentucky leads it own three-day event with a score of
310, three strokes ahead of Austin Peay (313) while Florida
Atlantic (315), Barry (320) and St. John's (322) round out the
Top-5 teams. The Mount sits in seventh place with a total of
336.
Mount St. Mary's returns to action for the second round at the
El Diablo Intercollegiate on Friday.
