RADFORD, Va. – Erin Regan (Fort Washington, Pa./Upper Dublin) notched Mount St. Mary's lone win at the Radford Invitational to lead Mount St. Mary's to seventh place on Saturday.
Regan won the 200 fly with a time of 2:06.99 to post the Mount's only win in the three-day competition. The freshman also placed 10th in the 1650 free (18:23.11).
Cat Coppler (Enfield, Conn./Enrico Fermi) posted the squad's other Top-10 individual finish on the day with fifth-place standing in the 200 back (2:08.86).
The Mountaineers posted three finishers in the B Final of the 100 free. Courtney Griffith (Westminster, Md./Westminster) finished 10th (54.06), Patricia Yam (Placenta, Calif./Rosary) finished 14th (54.43) and Mollie Walsh (Havertown, Pa./Archbishop John Carroll) placed 16th (56.32) in the event.
Anne Thelen (Raleigh, N.C./Cardinal Gibbons) recorded a 14th-place standing (2:36.06) in the 200 breast.
Thelen, Catherine Sukovich (Ringoes, N.J./Hunterdon Central Regional), Amanda Malmstrom (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) and Walsh placed seventh in the 400-free relay (3:43.59).
Campbell won the three-day event with a score of 673, 7.5 points ahead of Liberty (666.5) while Georgia Southern (619), Saint Francis (Pa.) (477), North Florida (430.5), Youngstown (345), Mount St. Mary's (283), Radford (183), Millersville (128) and North Carolina A&T (6) rounded out the 10-team field.
The Mount returns to action at Duquesne on Jan. 21.
