Roe-Hayward Tandem Pace Women's Golf At ECAC Championships

EGG HARBOR TOWNSHIP, N.J. – Sarah Roe (Floral Park, N.Y./Floral Park Memorial) and Kelsey Hayward (Seekonk, Mass./St. Mary's Academy) are tied for 16th place to lead the Mount St. Mary's women's golf team to a 10th-place standing after the first round of ECAC Championships on Sunday.

Roe and Hayward both shot an 82 on the afternoon to finish tied for 16th place, 13 strokes behind the current leader.

Jen Kim (Blue Bell, Pa./Methacton ) (36th place, 86), Nicole Fazio (Lower Gwynedd, Pa./Gwynedd Mercy Academy)  (49th place, 89) and Christina Hall (Wall, N.J./Wall) (63rd place, 97) rounded out the Mount's five competitors.

Dartmouth leads the event after shooting a 308 in the first round, two strokes ahead of Sacred Heart (310) while Hofstra (321), Albany (331) and Central Connecticut State (331) round out the Top-5 teams. The Mount posted its best round of the year after carding a 339. Eight of the 11 Northeast Conference schools are competing in the event.

Mount St. Mary's will be paired with Fairleigh Dickinson and Wagner in the final round of the ECAC Championships on Monday. The three teams will tee off starting at 9:40 a.m. in 10 minute intervals.
