GRASONVILLE, Md. - Brad Gerick (Pylesville, Pa./North Harford)
finished 41st to lead the Mount St. Mary's men's golf team to a
19th-place standing after two rounds at the Fireline Towson
Invitational on Saturday.
Gerick posted a 78 in the first round of the afternoon and then
carded a 77 in the second round of the day to finish in 41st place
after carding a 155, 13 strokes behind the current leader.
Ray Hyre (Bowie, Md./Bowie) (76th place, 161), Dan Michalek
(Mount Airy, Md./Mount St. Joseph) (87th place, 164), Brandon
Powers (Bel Air, Md./Bel Air) (94th place, 170) and Jake Wetzel
(Blue Ridge Summit, Pa./Waynesboro Area) (98th place, 173) rounded
out the Mount's competitors.
UNC Greensboro leads the two-day event with a score of 578, five
strokes ahead of Kent State (583) while Campbell (599), Towson
(600) and Rhode Island (605) round out the Top-5 teams. The Mount
sits in 19th place after posting a 323 in the first round and a 327
in the second round for a total of 650.
Mount St. Mary's returns to action in the final round of the
Fireline Towson Invitational on Sunday.
