EGG TOWNSHIP, N.J. - Sarah Roe (Floral Park, N.Y./Floral Park
Memorial) finished 19th to lead the Mount St. Mary's women's golf
team to an 11th-place standing after the first round of the Eastern
Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships on Sunday.
Roe, who is coming off a medalist performance at the Gettysburg
Invitational on Sept. 19, posted a 39 on the front nine holes and a
43 on the back nine to finish in 19th place with a score of 82, 10
strokes behind the current leader.
Autumn Serruta (Avon, Conn./Avon) (28th place, 85), Christina
Hall (Wall, N.J./Wall) (40th place, 87),Megan Corbett (Danbury,
Conn./Danbury) (59th place, 93) and Abbey Fry (Lebanon, Pa./Cedar
Crest) (67th place, 105) rounded out the Mount's five
competitors.
Fairleigh Dickinson leads the competition with a score of 314,
one stroke of Sacred Heart (315) while Fairfield (316), Dartmouth
(324) and Boston College (326) rounded out the Top-5 teams. The
Mount finished the first round with a score of 347 in 11th
place.
Mount St. Mary's returns to action on Monday in the final round
of the ECAC Championships.
