MONTPELIER, Va. - Christina Hall (Wall, N.J./Wall) finished 16th
to lead the Mount St. Mary's women's golf team to an 11th-place
standing after the first round of the Tribe Invitational on
Saturday.
Hall, the current Northeast Conference Golfer of the Week,
posted a 39 on the front nine and a 38 in the final nine holes to
card a 77 and place 16th, seven strokes behind the current
leader.
Autumn Serruta (Avon, Conn./Avon) sits one stroke behind Hall in
25th place with a 79 while Sarah Roe (Floral Park, Md./Floral Park
Memorial) (51st place, 88), Megan Corbett (Danbury, Conn./Danbury)
(51st place, 88) and Nicole Fazio (Lower Gwynedd, Pa./Gwynedd Mercy
Academy) (56th place, 90) rounded out the Mount's five
competitors.
Western Carolina leads the two-day event with a score of 295,
one stroke ahead of Morehead State (296) while Wofford (299),
William & Mary (307) and Old Dominion (312) rounded out the
Top-5 teams. The Mount finished the first round with a score of
332. The first round total was the sixth-best total in program
history.
Mount St. Mary's returns to action on Sunday in the final round
of the Tribe Invitational.
