KUTZTOWN,
Pa. Christina Hall (Wall, N.J./Wall) finished third to lead
the Mount St. Mary's women's golf team to first place after the
first round of the Kutztown Spring Invitational on Friday.
Hall
posted an 88 on the afternoon to end the first round in third
place, two strokes behind the current leader.
Christina
Koerper (Huntingdon Valley Pa./Mount St. Joseph Academy), Megan
Corbett (Danbury, Conn./Danbury) and Maddy Martin (LaVale,
Md./Allegheny) each ended the first round in the Top-10. Koerper
ended two strokes behind Hall to finish fourth (90), Corbett posted
a 93 to finish tied for fifth and Martin registered a 94 to end the
afternoon tied for eighth. Ananda Rochita (San Francisco,
Calif./Lowell) (15th place, 99) also competed for the
Mount.
Mount St.
Mary's leads the two-day event with a score of 365, three strokes
ahead of Kutztown (368) while McDaniel (379) and Merchurst (385)
rounded out the field.
The Mount
returns to action on Saturday in the final round of the Kutztown
Invitational.
