SAVANNAH,
Ga. Christina Hall (Wall, N.J./Wall), Christina Koerper
(Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Mount St. Joseph Academy) and Katie Letsch
(Blue Point, N.Y./Bayport Blue Point) each finished tied for 11th
place to help the Mount St. Mary's women's golf team to a
fourth-place standing at the Lonnie Barton Invitational on
Monday.
Hall
posted a 44 on both sides of the golf course, Koerper had a 43 on
the front nine and a 45 on the back nine holes and Letsch
registered a 46 on the first nine holes and a 42 on the back nine
to each finish with a total of 88, nine strokes ahead of the
current leader in the squad's first event of the spring.
Megan
Corbett (Danbury, Conn./Danbury) (18th place, 93) and Maddy Martin
(LaVale, Md./Allegany) (26th place, 102) also competed for the
Mount in the event.
Siena
leads the field with a score of 331, four strokes ahead of Towson
(335) while Long Island (343), Mount St. Mary's (357), Robert
Morris (374) and Monmouth (392) rounded out the field.
The Mount
returns to action on Tuesday in the final round of the Lonnie
Barton Invitational.
