FARMVILLE,
Va. The Mount St. Mary's women's golf team finished 12th at
the Tina Barrett Invitational hosted by Longwood on Tuesday. After
playing two rounds on Monday, teams played the final round on
Tuesday.
Megan
Corbett (Danbury, Conn./Danbury) (47th place, 272), Christina
Koerper (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Mount St. Joseph Academy) (47th
place, 272), Maddy Martin (LaVale, Md./Allegany) (57th place, 286),
Katie Letsch (Blue Point, N.Y./Bayport Blue Point) (58th place,
288) and Christina Hall (Wall, N.J./Wall) (61st place, 291)
competed for the Mount in the event.
Longwood
won its own invitational with an event-record score of 914 while
Akron (971), Radford (981), Methodist (981) and Towson (991)
rounded out the Top-5 teams in the event. After shooting a 375 and
380 in the first round yesterday, the Mount posted a 356 in the
final round to card an 1111 in the three rounds to record a
12th-place standing.
Mount
St. Mary's returns to the greens when it hosts in spring event on
Monday and Tuesday at the Quail Valley Golf Course in Littlestown,
Pa.
