FARMVILLE,
Va. The Mount St. Mary's women's golf team posted a
12th-place standing after the first day of the Tina Barrett
Invitational hosted by Longwood on Monday. Teams competed in two
rounds on the afternoon.
Megan
Corbett (Danbury, Conn./Danbury) (47th place, 181), Christina
Koerper (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Mount St. Joseph Academy) (54th
place, 186), Christina Hall (Wall, N.J./Wall) (57th place, 194),
Maddy Martin (LaVale, Md./Allegany) (57th place, 194) and Katie
Letsch (Blue Point, N.Y./Bayport Blue Point) (63rd place, 201)
competed for the Mount in the event.
Longwood
leads its own event with a two-round score of 612 while Akron
(652), Methodist (655), Radford (661) and Towson (661) rounded out
the Top-5 teams. Mount St.
Mary's posted a 375 in the first round and a 380 in the second
round for a two-round total of 755 to sit in 12th place going into
the final round.
The
Mount returns to action on Tuesday in the final round of the Tina
Barrett Invitational.
