ABOUT THE MOUNT
The Mount St. Mary's men's and women's tennis teams were both topped by Bucknell on Wednesday afternoon on the Bison's Varsity Tennis Courts. The men's squad was blanked 4-0 by Bucknell and the women's squad was downed 6-1 by Bucknell. Freshman Taylor Cook led all of the Mountaineers on the day with a singles flight win and a doubles flight win in the loss.
Bucknell took control of the match after they won every singles flight by just two sets each except for the number four spot. Mount St. Mary's Taylor Cook edged Mishi Papich 6-2, 4-6, 10-4 in that fourth flight for the Mount's lone point of the match. With the win, Cook now moves to nine singles flight victories on the season.
The Bisons earned the doubles point after they won the first and second flights that gave them the early 1-0 lead. The Mountaineers duo of Taylor Cook and Mia Pittman topped Gannon and Carroll 6-0 in the number three doubles flight.

The Mount will head to the first round of the Northeast Conference Championship on Thursday, April 18.
