Mount Women's Tennis Downed By Loyola 5-2 On Wednesday Night

Baltimore, Md. (April 3, 2019) - The Mount St. Mary's women's tennis team was downed by Loyola 5-2 on Wednesday night. Hannah Davis recorded her fourth singles flight win of the season at the number three spot. Davis teamed with Alexa Quintanilla to pick up their team leading eighth doubles win of the year.


  • The Greyhounds tabbed the match victory after Sandra Aguirre topped Mia Pittman 6-2, 6-2 in the number five flight.
  • Hannah Davis nabbed the lone Mount singles flight win of the match after she defeated Abby Decker 4-6, 6-3, 14-12 in a hard fought battle in the third flight.
  • Mount St. Mary's Alexa Quintanilla and Taylor Cook were forced to be pulled from their matches due to injury and illness which gave Loyola two default wins.


  • The Mountaineers won the doubles point after they took the number one and number three flights.
  • Alexa Quintanilla and Hannah Davis edged Kateri Martin and Abby Thornton 7-5.
  • In the third flight, Taylor Cook and Mia Pittman topped Abby Decker and Sandra Aguirre 6-1.

The Mount women's team travels to Duquesne on Friday, April 5 for a match at 7 PM. and then they head to Yale for a match against Sacred Heart at 8:15 AM on Sunday, April 7.
