Women’s Swimming & Diving Sits in Fifth Place Following Opening Day of Loyola Invitational

RESULTS

Baltimore, Md. (November 30, 2018) – The Mount St. Mary's women's swimming & diving team sits in fifth place following the opening day of the Loyola H2ounds Invitational.

Maddie McGraw led the way for the Mountaineers in the 200 IM, placing 10th with a time of 2:12.34. Jordan Friedman finished just behind McGraw in 11th in 2:14.65, while Alyssa Felos (2:21.17) and Elizabeth Fahrney (2:22.84) were the team's next top finishers in the event.

The Mount had five swimmers finish among the top-25 in the 50 free, led by Mary Lombardi who raced to a time of 25.72 to finish in 20th place. Maggie deTar (25.76) and Valeria Villagran (25.94) were next up for the Mount in the event, while Lauren Gullickson (25.98) and Eliza Felos (26.02) also placed in the top-25.

In the 500 free, Juliet Whitman posted a time of 5:40.32 to take 20th place, and Haley Bodner finished just behind her with a time of 5:43.54 to finish 21st.

Lacy Vickery registered the Mount's top score in the 1-meter (151.35) to place ninth in the event, while Laura Kingham (142.45) and Catherine Davis (139.35) took the next two spots.

The Mount's top relay finish of the night came in the 800 free relay, as Lombardi, McGraw, Cassie Mann and Eliza Felos finished eighth in 8:32.19.

 In the 400 medley relay, McGraw, Fahrney, Whitman and Friedman placed ninth with a time of 4:00.70.

The Mountaineers wrap up the final day of the H2ounds Invitational tomorrow (Dec. 1), with action starting at 10 a.m.
