Mount Women's Soccer Drops Final Game of Season at Fairleigh Dickinson

Teaneck, N.J. (November 3, 2019)--The Mount St. Mary's women's soccer team lost at Fairleigh Dickinson, 4-1, on Sunday afternoon in the final game of the regular season for the Mountaineers.  Elisabeth Rockhill scored for the Mount in the game while goalkeeper Maggie Barron made a season-high 17 saves.

The Knights (8-5-6, 7-0-3 NEC) took the lead when Jackson Bennett scored in the 17th minute for a 1-0 advantage.  Barron kept the Mount in range by making 10 saves as FDU held a 1-0 lead at the break.  The Mount (3-13-1, 2-7-1 NEC) evened the score just five minutes into the second half when Rockhill converted a feed from Kalli Bell to tie it at 1-1.  It was Rockhill's team-best third goal of the year.  The game remained that way for the next 20 minutes with Isabella Roberts and Jaylyn Chandler having chances stopped by FDU keeper Amanda Fitzgerald during that span.

FDU then took control by scored three times in a 10-minute span to earn the win.  Isabelle Udovc's goal in the 74th minute snapped the tie.  Two minutes later, Alexiane Marquis made it a two-goal lead, and Marquis completed the three-goal run with her second goal of the game in the 82nd minute.

FDU held a 31-to-6 shot advantage in the game, including a 21-to-2 margin in shots on goal.
