MOUNT UPDATE: The Mount fell to 1-9-0 overall and 0-3-0 in the Northeast Conference with a 5-1 loss to defending NEC champion Central Connecticut last Sunday. The Blue Devils scored a pair of long range goals early in the first half to take the lead. Cheyenna Cook's first career goal put the Mount on the scoreboard. Cook, Jasmine McCree and Maddie Tchou are tied with the team lead with one goal each this season while McCree leads the team with three points. In goal, Maggie Barron has a 2.03 goals against average and a .786 save percentage in six games (five starts).
ABOUT THE WARRIORS: Merrimack enters Friday's game with a 2-7-0 overall record and a 0-3-0 mark in the Northeast Conference. The Warriors are coming off a 2-1 loss at Fairleigh Dickinson on Sunday. Molly Murnane, Taylor Robertson, Bridget Austin and Izzy McDonnell each have two goals for the Warriors while Murnane leads the squad with six points. Erin Fulton has a 2.15 GAA and a .750 save percentage in nine appearances in the goal.
ALL-TIME SERIES: This will be the first-ever meeting between the Mount and Merrimack.
ABOUT THE BULLDOGS: Bryant has posted a strong start to Northeast Conference play, posting a 3-0-1 mark in the NEC and a 5-3-2 overall record so far. The Bulldogs are coming off a 1-0 win at Robert Morris on Sunday that saw Becca Michaud scored the game-winner in the 41st minute. Goalkeeper Meghan Dalton tallied eight saves in the clean sheet win. Dalton has a 0.96 goals against average and 50 saves this season. Remi Manna and Amanda Spitaleri are tied for the team lead with three goals and two assists for eight points. Alison Guilmette has a team-best three assists on the year.
ALL-TIME SERIES: The Mount holds a 5-3-1 lead in the all-time series with Bryant, including a 1-0 win last year in a game that clinched the Mount's spot in the Northeast Conference Tournament. The Mount holds a 2-2-1 all-time mark at Bryant, but has not won at Bryant since a 2-1 victory on October 20, 2013.
UPCOMING SCHEDULE: The Mountaineers have a two-game homestand next weekend with Long Island (October 11) and St. Francis Brooklyn (October 13) visiting Waldron Family Stadium.
