MOUNT UPDATE: Mount St. Mary's has opened Northeast Conference play with a pair of ties to move to 1-6-3 overall and 0-0-2 in the NEC. The Mount started with a 1-1 tie with Fairleigh Dickinson on September 23 and followed with another 1-1 draw at LIU Brooklyn last Friday. Kayla Hughes leads the Mount with four goals this season while Maddie Tchou is second on the team with five points (2g, 1a). Maggie Barron has a 1.05 goals against average in six start.
ABOUT ROBERT MORRIS: Robert Morris enters Friday night's matchup with a 3-10-0 overall record and a 1-2-0 mark in the Northeast Conference. After opening NEC play with a 2-1 home win over Wagner, Robert Morris fell to Central Connecticut (1-0) and Fairleigh Dickinson (3-1). Jane Schleicher leads the Colonials with nine goals this season. Sydney Bruckner has started 10 games in goal, posting a 1.92 GAA and a .806 save percentage.
ALL-TIME SERIES: The Mount and Robert Morris are tied at 12-12-3 in the all-time series that began in the Mount's first season of soccer in 1992. The Red Flash battled Bryant to a tie this past Sunday after opening league play with a 1-0 overtime win against LIU Brooklyn and a 3-2 victory at Sacred Heart. Alyssa McGhee leads the team with four goals and 11 points while Sara Suler is second on the squad with six points (2g, 2a). Julia Hernan has started 11 games in goal with a 1.15 GAa and a .836 save percentage.
ALL-TIME SERIES: Saint Francis U has won the past eight meetings between the two schools to take an 18-9-1 lead in the all-time series that began in 1992. The Red Flash have won 12 of the past 13 matchups as well. The Mount's last win in the series was a 1-0 decision at home on Oct. 16, 2009.
