Mount Women’s Soccer Hosts Wagner on Senior Night this Friday

The Mountaineers dropped a pair of matches to Sacred Heart (1-0) and Bryant (2-1) this past weekend to drop to 1-3 in conference play and 4-9-1 overall. The Mount's one NEC win was a 1-0 victory over Central Connecticut behind Chloe Cain's game-winner back in early October.

Junior midfielder Jenna West continues to lead the Mount and ranks third in the conference on the year in both goals (5) and points (13). Kayla Hughes netted her third goal of the season last time out to move into second place on the squad. Goalie Maggie Barron has made 12 starts in net for the Mount, posting a .667 save percentage and 1.55 goals against average. The redshirt freshman has registered two shutouts in the team's last five contests.

Mount St. Mary's will honor Chloe Cain, Marcella Fegler, Jordan Fine, Kiley Graham and Kristen Morawski with a pregame ceremony as part of Senior Night prior to the game against Wagner. The five seniors have combined to play in over 190 games during their careers with the Mountaineers.

The Seahawks sit in eighth place in the conference with a 0-1-1 NEC mark and a 3-6-3 overall record. They opened league play with a 0-0 draw against LIU Brooklyn before falling to Fairleigh Dickinson, 4-0, last time out. Maria Nunez and Kristen Bischoff are tied for the team-lead with two goals apiece. Goalie Delaney Beck owns a .714 save percentage and 2.43 goals against average in 12 games played.

The Mount and Wagner are set to meet for the 25th time in series history on Friday with it all knotted up at 12-12. The Seahawks have won the last three meetings in the series, including a 2-1 victory last season on their home field.
