ABOUT THE MOUNT
The Mountaineers look to get back in the win column on Saturday at Central Michigan after opening the season with a 3-1 record before dropping the next four contests to move to 3-5 overall. This past week, the Mount suffered a pair of one-goal defeats at the hands of Radford (2-1) and VMI (1-0). The Mount's three wins on the season have come against Loyola (3-1), Howard (4-1) and Hampton (4-1).
Junior Jenna West has paced the Mountaineer attack through the opening eight games as the midfielder leads all Northeast Conference players with 10 points and is tied for the lead in goals, with four. Senior forward Marcella Fegler and junior midfielder Kayla Hughes have chipped in with two goals apiece on the offensive end. Maggie Barron has started seven of eight games in goal for the Mountaineers, collecting three wins and posting a 2.14 goals against average.

SCOUTING CENTRAL MICHIGAN
The Chippewas earned a 2-0 shutout victory over Detroit Mercy last time out to improve to 4-2-1 on the year. The Mount will be CMU's second NEC opponent faced this season, as the Chippewas previously rolled to a 4-0 win over Robert Morris back in late August. Madison Costner (4g, 1a) and Lexi Pelafas (3g, 1a) lead the CMU offense, while Zoie Reed owns a .830 save percentage in seven starts in goal.
INSIDE THE SERIES
Mount St. Mary's and Central Michigan will meet for the first time in series history on Saturday. Mount Head Coach Joe Nemzer returns to CMU after spending three seasons as an assistant coach with the Chippewas prior to taking over the helm at the Mount.
