MOUNT UPDATE
The Mount St. Mary's women's rugby team comes into their playoff matchup winning three out of the last five games with their recent win being the biggest. A 25-22 victory over the Pioneers from Sacred Heart helped the Mountaineers clinch the fourth spot in the NIRA Tier II playoffs. Jalana Jade Garcia, Jordan Butcher, Shania Miller, Jenna Lewaren, and Alyssa Mathis all had tries for the Mount in the victory. The team will look to avenge a 15-14 loss to the Golden Rams back on October 6th.

SCOUTING WEST CHESTER
The Golden Rams come into the NIRA Tier II playoffs as the number one seed after an undefeated season at 9-0 and an unbeaten record in conference at 6-0. Sophomore center Autumn Czaplicki has been almost unstoppable this year coming into the postseason with eleven tries for a total of 55 points on the year while sophomore fullback Lauren Madalian has converted on eight tries of her own. Sophomore flyhalf Kylie Corless has been consistent in the kicking game with 20 converted kicks in the 2019 campaign. The Mount will need to stop the Golden Rams' sophomore trio in order to advance to the NIRA Tier II championship game.

PREVIOUS MATCHUP
These two teams met back on October 6th in which West Chester downed the Mountaineers 15-14 in a rainy defensive battle on a muddy Echo Field. Autumn Czaplicki started the scoring off with two tries of her own to give the Golden Rams a 10-0 lead. Jalana Jade Garcia cut into the West Chester lead with a try of her own and a Maya Grassi conversion kick made it 10-7. A try from Haley Spangler increased the West Chester lead to 15-7. The Mount responded quickly with Garcia's second try of the match and Grassi's second conversion kick made 15-14 Golden Rams. West Chester was able to hold on for the victory giving up no scores in the last twenty minutes of the second half. The Golden Rams now hold a 2-0 record all-time against the Mount after a 39-19 victory during the 2018 fall 15's season.

UPCOMING SCHEDULE
The winner of this matchup will move on to the NIRA Tier II Championship Game to face the winner of #2 Brown vs. #3 Queens at Harvard University on Saturday, November 16th.
