Why the Mount? "I wanted to play rugby for a school that had it as a varsity sport and was leaning toward West Chester University but after talking with Coach Farrah and hearing her passion for the game and her desire to grow the women's team at the Mount, she convinced me that this is where I needed to be."
What are you looking forward to with this upcoming team/school year? "I am looking forward to building a tough women's rugby team that can compete with the best of them and becoming close friends with my future teammates."
Lauren Judkins | Scrumhalf | Lee University
Why the Mount? "Last May, as Chris Martin was searching for development opportunities for me over the summer, he called me immediately with good news: 'Farrah Douglas is going to be in Maine at a camp at Bowdoin in July! You have to go, Lou! Do you even know how big of a deal that is?' So, I went to Maine. There I met Farrah, who immediately mentored me in what I should do next, upon obtaining my undergraduate degree. Having done the journey herself, I hung on to every word she offered. When I received the offer to play under Farrah, I was humbled, thrilled, and most of all, nervous. In that moment, I made the decision I would do whatever it would take to get to Farrah at the Mount, and hopefully become a player that she was able to depend upon to work hard for her, always, no matter what."
What are you looking forward to with this upcoming team/school year? "To learn and develop under such amazing coaching staff, alongside of my new teammates who share a similar passion and drive."

Hanna I.C. Rojas-Rhodes | Prop/Hooker | Academy of Our Lady of Guam
Why the Mount?: "Since sixth grade, rugby has been a huge part of my life. In 2012, my first cousin got accepted into an amazing school in Texas where she would be playing basketball in Division II. I saw how far she came and was inspired to make the same kind of opportunity for myself. That's why when I started researching schools to apply to for college, one of the main aspects that I sought was the ability to play rugby. Not only did the Mount offer me an amazing opportunity to get a great education, but I also had the chance to play on their varsity rugby team in Division I, which was one of my dreams since 2012. Not only did the Mount offer this, but also Coach Douglas personally reached out to me and sought to make me a part of her team. Being welcomed by her had a big effect on me, which overall persuaded me to commit to the Mount. I wanted to be a part of a team that not only is welcoming, but also shared the same passion for the sport of rugby."
What are you looking forward to with this upcoming team/ school year? "The thing that I am seeking the most when I come to attend the Mount is a family. I will be leaving my family and teammates of four years on Guam. I look forward to making the same bond with my new coach and teammates and become part of the family."
