ABOUT THE MOUNT
The Mount heads out on a key two-game road trip to close out the regular season, facing Bryant on Friday (April 28) before matching up with Central Connecticut on Sunday (April 30). The Mountaineers earned a pair of crucial victories last weekend, topping both LIU Brooklyn and Sacred Heart by 12-10 margins to move into a tie for third place in the conference standings.
Senior Sammie Knapp continues to lead the Mount's offensive attack with 41 points (30g, 11a) on the year. Rookie Carly Miller ranks second on the squad with 25 points (14g, 11a) despite missing the last four games, and senior Kelly Maloney is third on the team with 23 points (16g, 7a). Sophomore goalie Jillian Petito, who has started all 13 games for the Mountaineers, leads all NEC net minders with a .579 save percentage in league games.

Bryant goes into the weekend at 9-4 on the season and riding a five-game winning streak. The Bulldogs are 5-0 in the NEC, and are defeating conference opponents by an average of 8.8 goals per contest. Underclassmen Jess DeMeo (36g, 7a, 43p) and Caitlin Breglia (28g, 11a, 39p) lead the Bulldog offense while junior Catlin Brown (18g, 12a, 30p) has helped pace the attack. Junior goalkeeper Samantha Santeramo owns a .514 save percentage and 7.78 goals against average.
The Mount is currently 3-4 all-time vs. Bryant, with the matchup last season resulting in a 17-7 victory for Bryant in Emmitsburg. The Mount's last win in the series was a 9-8 overtime triumph on the Bulldogs' home turf in 2015.
SCOUTING CENTRAL CONNECTICUT
The Blue Devils are currently 3-11 overall and 2-3 in conference heading into the weekend, with a matchup against Wagner on Friday before welcoming in the Mount on Sunday. Central Connecticut's two conference wins have come against LIU Brooklyn (13-12) and St. Francis University (18-13) with losses coming to Sacred Heart (7-8), Bryant (5-19), and Robert Morris (13-14). The Blue Devils average 9.43 goals per game, led by Megan Szawlowski (27g, 23a, 50p) and Marissa Soto (42g, 4a, 46p). Jackie Branthover owns a .446 save percentage and 13.57 goals against average in 14 starts in goal.
The Mount is 15-2 in the all-time series against Central Connecticut, including 7-1 on the Blue Devils' home field. In the matchup last season, the Mount posted an 11-9 victory behind two goals apiece from Kelly Maloney and Taylor Carhart.
If the Mountaineers clinch a playoff berth this weekend, they would play an NEC Quarterfinal matchup on Friday, May 5 at the home of the highest seed in the conference.
