Somerset, N.J. (March 28, 2019) – Mount St. Mary's women's bowling freshman Tamera Stanton has been named to the Northeast Conference (NEC) All-Tournament Team, as announced by the league office on Thursday.
Stanton helped propel the Mountaineers to the NEC Championship round and a runner-up finish in their inaugural season of competition. The rookie stepped up in a big way on day two of the tournament, registering a 21.43 baker frame average as the Mount secured victories in elimination matches against defending NEC Champion No. 9 Saint Francis U and four-time NEC Champion No. 8 Fairleigh Dickinson. Stanton's performance against a pair of big-time opponents helped the Mountaineers advance to the title round, where she posted a solid 20.50 baker frame average on Championship Sunday against No. 18 Sacred Heart.
