The KU Invite will have 32 teams competing, including 20 of the top-25 nationally ranked teams. The teams competing are #3 Vanderbilt, #4 Arkansas State, #5 Sam Houston State, #6 Tulane, #7 Fairleigh Dickinson, #8 Eastern Shore, #9 Saint Francis PA, #10 Stephen F. Austin, #11 North Carolina A&T, #12 Wisconsin-Whitewater, #13 Delaware State, #16 Sacred Heart, #17 Monmouth, #18 LIU Brooklyn, #19 MOUNT ST. MARY'S, #20 Alabama-Birmingham, #21 Adelphi, #22 Maryville, #23 Duquesne, #25 Kutztown, Bethune-Cookman, Caldwell, Chestnut Hill, Felician, Howard, Lincoln Memorial, McKendree, Medaille, Morgan State, Norfolk State, St. Francis Brooklyn, and Youngstown State.

The Mountaineers are coming off a perfect 6-0 performance at the first conference meet of the season. The Mount is now 38-12 on the year and sits on top of the Northeast Conference Standings with a 6-0 record to begin the second half of the year.

After day one of Northeast Conference (NEC) play, the Mount St. Mary's women's bowling team sat tied for first in the conference standings with a perfect 3-0 record. The Mount picked up wins over St. Francis Brooklyn, No. 12 Sacred Heart and No. 9 Fairleigh Dickinson. Rebecca Dodson, posted a 19.80 baker frame average on the day, which led the winning effort. Tamera Stanton also contributed for the Mount with a 19.19 baker frame average. Danielle Milo (18.41 baker frame average) and Barbara Hawes (18.12 baker frame average) also pitched in with strong efforts.

The Mount St. Mary's women's bowling team finished day two of the tournament atop the Northeast Conference (NEC) Standings following another perfect 3-0 day. The Mount picked up wins over No. 20 Duquesne, No. 19 LIU Brooklyn, and No. 13 Saint Francis U. Barbara Hawes led the way with a 19.72 baker frame average on the day. Ashley Santos also contributed nicely with a 19.00 baker frame average. For the tournament, Hawes (18.88), Rebecca Dodson (18.44), Santos (18.18) Tamera Stanton (18.01) all held baker frame averages of over 18.00.

The Mount St. Mary's women's bowling team was tabbed No. 19 in the country in the National Tenpins Coaches Association (NTCA) Poll released on December 5. The first-year Mountaineers are out to an impressive 38-12 start to their inaugural season, and have earned 12 wins over top-25 nationally-ranked opponents through the opening part of the campaign. The Mount recorded a perfect 6-0 mark at its first Northeast Conference (NEC) tournament, defeating five nationally-ranked teams on its way to the top of the league standings.

The Mount women's bowling team will travel to Altoona, Pennsylvania for the Red Flash Invite hosted by Saint Francis PA on January 25 – 27.
