MOUNT UPDATE: Mount St. Mary's hits the road to take on Fordham, an NCAA Tournament team a year ago, on Tuesday in the Bronx, N.Y. Competing for the second time this season, the Mount opened the year at No. 10/8 Maryland on Nov. 14 with a 109-45 defeat. A win on Tuesday would give eighth-year head coach Bryan Whitten his fifth 1-1 start to the season.

LAST TIME OUT: In a 109-45 loss at No. 10/8 Maryland, which made the 2014 NCAA Final Four, senior Jacqueline Brewer led the Mount with 12 points, while senior Jenn Carney added 10. Sophomore Kaitlyn Eisenhard posted a career-high 10 rebounds for the Mount in her second career start.
ABOUT FORDHAM: Fordham, which recorded 25 wins last season, opened the year with a home loss to Iona by a 72-51 final score before falling at No. 24/25 Syracuse, 59-42, on Nov. 16. Emily Tapio leads Fordham with 11.5 points per game this season, while G'mrice Davis leads the way with 8.0 rebounds per game, and is second on the team with 6.5 points per contest. The Rams, led by former LIU Head Coach Stephanie Gaitley, won the Atlantic 10 Tournament in 2014 before falling in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
LAST TIME VERSUS FORDHAM: The Mount and Fordham have squared off once before, on Dec. 29, 2007 with the Mount earning a 56-43 victory. The last meeting came in Mount St. Mary's Head Coach Bryan Whitten's first season in Emmitsburg, and it was Whitten's third career win with the Mountaineers.
BEAST ON THE BOARDS: Sophomore Kaitlyn Eisenhard recorded a career-high 10 rebounds in the season opener at No. 10/8 Maryland on Nov. 14. Eisenhard is one of two active Mount players with games of 10 or more rebounds. Jacqueline Brewer is the other with two 10-plus rebound games.
MOUNT ST. MARY'S VS. ATLANTIC 10: Versus the 14 teams that make up the Atlantic 10, the Mount's all-time record is 16-23. In last year's season opener, the Mount fell in the Preseason WNIT at Saint Joseph's, 85-57, and concluded the year in the Postseason WNIT at Duquesne with a 62-52 loss.
UP NEXT: The Mount travels to the state of North Carolina for a pair of games. On Nov. 21, the Mountaineers are slated to take on Campbell at 7 p.m. before heading to Davidson for a Nov. 23 contest beginning at 2 p.m.
