MOUNT UPDATE: Second-seeded Mount St. Mary's enters the Northeast Conference Tournament winners of 10 of their last 12 games. Hosting its first playoff game since the 2001-02 season, the Mount is looking to secure a berth in the NEC Semifinals for the second season in a row. The Mount's matchup against seventh-seeded Wagner is the third between the two sides this year with the Mountaineers winning the first two games by an average of 11.5 points.

MOUNT IN THE NEC PLAYOFFS: The Mount is competing in the NEC Tournament for the 23rd time in 25 years in the league. The Mount is 18-19 in NEC Tournament games, including an 8-6 mark at home at Knott Arena. In playoff games versus Wagner, the Mount is 1-1.

IT'S BEEN A WHILE: The last time the Mount hosted a playoff game was 2002, when the Mount lost in the first round. The Mount's last home playoff victory was in 1997, while 1996 was the last time the Mount won multiple home playoff games in the same season.

LAST TIME OUT: In the regular season finale, the Mount forced Robert Morris into 20 turnovers, but it was not enough in a 71-65 defeat. Ashley Christie scored a team-best 18 points to go with seven steals, while Jessie Kaufman added 14 points off the bench on four three-pointers. Two-time NEC Player of the Year Artemis Spanou led all scorers with 24 points and added 12 rebounds for the Colonials. The Mount connected on 10 three-pointers, marking the sixth time this season the squad has hit 10 or more threes.

ABOUT WAGNER: Wagner freshman Jasmine Nwajei earned 2014 Northeast Conference Rookie of the Year. Nwajei also earned a place on the NEC's second team and the All-Rookie Team. Another key player for the Seahawks, Ugo Nwaigwe, was named Defensive Player of the Year and was a member of the league's All-Defensive Team. Wagner has lost three of its last four games entering Sunday.

THIS SEASON VS. WAGNER: The Mount swept the regular season series with Wagner, winning by an average of 11.5 points in two games. The Mount defeated the Seahawks, 89-78, in the first meeting at Knott Arena on Jan. 18, before earning a 64-52 road win on March 1. Kayla Grossett led the Mount with 15.5 points per game versus Wagner this season. The Mount outrebounded Wagner by 2.5 boards per game in the two meetings.

ALL-TIME SERIES VS. WAGNER: The Mount leads the all-time series with the Seahawks, 36-15. The Mount has won seven in a row versus Wagner and has not lost to the Seahawks since Feb. 12, 2011.

HENDERSON'S MOMENT: Senior guard Sydney Henderson was voted First Team All-Northeast Conference by the league's coaches on March 6. The Richmond, Va. native, who was a second team selection a year ago, is seventh in the NEC in scoring (17.4), while leading the NEC in three-point field goal percentage (.388). It is the 16th time a Mount player has earned First Team All-NEC, and Henderson is the program's first since Dita Krumberga in 2007.

UP NEXT: A win over Wagner would secure the Mount's second-consecutive berth in the NEC Semifinals. The Mount's semifinal game would be Wednesday, March 12, at 7 p.m. at Knott Arena.
