Mount Women's Basketball Looks for Five-Game Winning Streak at Bryant on Monday

MOUNT UPDATE: Mount St. Mary's became the second team to clinch a Northeast Conference Tournament berth this season with Saturday's 76-63 win at Sacred Heart. The Mount is currently riding a four-game winning streak, which is the longest since winning six in a row in February of 2012. So far in 2013-14, the Mount is 4-0 when playing an opponent for the second time.

LAST TIME OUT: Sydney Henderson moved into the Mount's top 10 career scoring list with the help of a game-high 22 points on Feb. 15 at Sacred Heart in a 76-63 win. Ashley Christie also had a productive offensive effort with 19 points, while Kayla Grossett added 13 points. The Mount outrebounded Sacred Heart, 36-25, with plus-11 being the second biggest margin in favor of the Mount this season. The Mountaineers shot 51.9 percent (27-of-52) from the field.

ABOUT BRYANT : Five different Bulldogs average double figures led by Jenniqua Bailey with 13.9 points per game. Bryant's last two wins have been by an average of 40.5 points. Last time out, Bryant dismantled FDU, 81-51.

LAST TIME VS. BRYANT : The Mount let an 18-point second-half lead slip away, but picked up an 84-79 overtime victory over Bryant on Jan. 25 at Knott Arena. Jacqueline Brewer set a season high with 27 points, while Sydney Henderson added 21 in the win. Bryant outrebounded the Mount, 46-29, and scored 52 points in the paint in the loss.

ALL-TIME SERIES WITH BRYANT: The Mount is 6-2 in eight all-time meetings with Bryant. In road games against the Bulldogs, the Mount is 2-1.

UP NEXT: The Mount celebrates senior day on Saturday, Feb. 22, with a 1 p.m. game at Knott Arena versus Fairleigh Dickinson.
