MOUNT UPDATE: After struggling through a 0-3 beginning to the season, the Mount has gone 3-3 in its last six games with wins over IPFW, Campbell and Loyola. Senior Sydney Henderson leads the Mount with 18.1 points per game in a team-high 35.1 minutes per contest. On the glass, Kayla Grossett has notched 5.4 rebounds per game, including 2.6 offensive rebounds per game.  

LAST TIME OUT: Jacqueline Brewer led the Mount in scoring for the first time this season with 15 points off the bench to lead four players in double figures in a 65-59 home win over in-state rival Loyola on Dec. 7. Playing the full 40 minutes for the first time in 2013-14, Sydney Henderson chipped in with 14 points as the Mount outrebounded Loyola, 37-33. Kayla Grossett also turned in a solid effort off the bench with 11 points and a team-best eight rebounds for the Mountaineers. 

ABOUT AMERICAN: The Eagles have won three in a row and hold a 6-2 record on the season, including a 4-0 mark at home. Alexis Dobbs is scoring at a 14.9 points per game clip and leads American with 46 assists to just 16 turnovers. Last time out on Dec. 8, the Eagles defeated Drexel, which won the WNIT Championship a year ago.   

LAST TIME VS. AMERICAN: The Mount was in control of last year's game versus American, until the Eagles went on a 17-4 run to close the second half and steal a 48-46 victory from the Mountaineers. With the game tied at 46-46, American's Alexis Dobbs stole the ball from the Mount and finished a layup on the other end with 0.2 seconds on the clock to pick up the win. Jacqueline Brewer led all scorers with 15 points in the loss, while Ti'Asia Dumiak scored a team-high 11 for the Eagles.

ALL-TIME SERIES WITH AMERICAN: The Mount is 5-9 against American in 14 all-time meetings dating back to 1979. Since moving to Division I in 1988-89, the Mount is 2-6 against the Eagles with American winning the last five meetings. In road games for the Mount in Washington, D.C., the Mountaineers are 1-5 against the Eagles. 

TOP IN THE LEAGUE: Senior guard Sydney Henderson leads the NEC with five games with 20 or more points. Three other players have three games with 20+ points in Alli Williams from Saint Francis U, Jordyn Peck from Wagner and Gabrielle Washington from Sacred Heart. 

LETTING IT FLY: The Mount is averaging 21.0 three-point attempts per game this season. Spread over 30 regular-season games, the Mountaineers are on pace to shoot 630 threes, which would shatter the school record of 578 attempts set by the 2011-12 team. Whitten's teams have the top three seasons as far as three-pointers taken in school history.

In a Nov. 15 loss against Idaho in the Preseason WNIT, the Mount attempted a school-record 34 three-pointers. The previous record was 33 versus Central Connecticut on Jan. 16, 2012.
